ChangeFest 2025

Nov 24, 2025

The Atlas team was delighted to attend and present at Changefest 2025, held on 19-21 November and described as a national movement for community led systems change in Australia. The team participated in a session titled “Strengthening Place-Based Data as an Enabler for Impact – Exploring Emerging Opportunities Across the System”.

The conversation brought together Atlas founder and Chair Professor Bec Glauert, CEO of Seer Data Kristi Mansfield, and National Communities of Focus Lead, Mission Australia (representing Strengthening Communities Alliance) Crystal Taylor. Together, this session explored how data can support community-led, place-based initiatives and drive meaningful change.

Panel Chair Eve Millar, Director Data, Evidence & Practice at PLACE set the scene by highlighting the potential for data to drive impact and build the evidence base for place-based approaches. Speakers shared practical examples of how data partners are supporting initiatives, discussed the emerging opportunities to strengthen community data, and explored how data can be leveraged to enhance real-world outcomes.

The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion, with the audience reflecting on their own data practices and the support they need.
